AFTER NEARLY 70 YEARS, AUSTRALIA’S LARGEST LIQUOR RETAILER HAS RETURNED TO THE VERY SITE WHERE THE FOUNDER, DANIEL FRANCIS MURPHY, OPENED HIS FIRST STORE BACK IN 1952, PRAHRAN ARCADE IN MELBOURNE.

Located within Prahran Arcade, a complex Heritage site, the flagship store spans two levels and features the most extensive imported wine collection whilst also showcasing Dan Murphy’s heritage memorabilia and antiques.

Our scheme highlights the Architect’s carefully designed restorations and enhances the building’s original features; from its arches and ceilings to fine detailing- through a considered approach to light, proportion, and materiality.
